PRIVATE UTILITY LOCATES

Prior to excavating on private property, anyone breaking ground must be aware that privately-owned buried facilities may exist within the work area and they should have these facilities marked prior to any ground disturbance activities. These privately-owned buried facilities will not be marked when obtaining locates through 811. We work with excavators and private landowners to marked privately owned buried facilities situated on private property after the demarcation point to provide a Private Locate. Our Private Locate Process ensures that all private facilities are accounted for before you dig on private property.

INDOOR PRIVATE UTILITY LOCATES / CONCRETE SCANNING

There are many challenges with indoor renovation and investigation projects when having to cut or core a concrete slab. Many electrical and communications conduits and post-tension cables can be embedded within a concrete floor or just beneath it, or you may not want to disturb the rebar within a concrete building floor. You want to ensure that before you saw cut, core, or drill inside a building, that you scan the work area for buried infrastructure. Our well-trained, skilled, and experienced technicians use a combination of electromagnetic locate equipment and high-frequency ground penetrating radar for every indoor project to ensure you are safe.

SEWER LOCATES

We use a variety of sewer inspection equipment to verify the location of non-conductive sewers. Our sewer cameras (CCTV) add an additional layer of information and confidence when performing utility locates. Only marking catch basin and manhole inverts can be a costly gamble.

DESIGN LOCATES

We provide Design Utility Locates for clients who need all public and private buried facilities identified and mapped on private property. Our services support accurate and reliable utility data collection for surveyors, architects, engineers, designers, project managers, utility owners, and contractors. We collaborate directly with your surveyor or design team to ensure you have the information you need for safe, confident planning.

 

Our design locate process includes:

 

• Utility record research and data correlation

• Utility locating using EM Cable Locate Equipment, Sondes, and Ground Penetrating Radar

• Manhole and Catch Basin Invert Measurements

• Sewer and conduit investigations using push cameras and CCTV systems

All work follows the ASCE 38-22 methodology for collecting and classifying utility data up to Quality Level B.
